One of the most playful brands I'd love to collaborate again with.

Hero illustration for Depfu, a tool helping engineering teams keep a close eye on dependency updates. They were looking to add a human touch to a product that is mechanical by nature, but not the regular techy magic-press-of-a-button imagery.

Sketches

The keywords we worked around were continuous security, process, automation, maintenance. It needed something that would draw you in, but also tell a little bit the story of what this tool does. Something that still shows it's the human doing it, just much easier with Depfu's help.

We also quickly realised the androginous chunky people style of illustration worked well for them.
